Klik.TV sits down with Joakim Gomez, Lucas Chia and Seah Weiwen to talk about their band Fre3fall and their new hot show on okto, The Band, a music drama that features the journey of 3 boys, Kai (Joakim), Ethan (Lucas), and Calvin (Weiwen), with totally different personalities, coming from totally different backgrounds, who were selected to form a band. The Band is produced by Klik.TV's sister company, The Moving Visuals Co, and airs every Wednesday, 8pm and Sundays 12.30pm on okto.
Klik.TV: What's the craziest thing that happened while making The Band?
Lucas: We had scenes in some of the strangest places. One of the scenes took place in the middle of the toilet. It was a really cramp toilet, probably about two "bombing" cubicles and 4 urinals. Inside there were like about 8 people and there were girls running in and out, so it was abit intense and quite crazy for me.
Klik.TV: Acting is a new gig for some of you guys. How is it like?
Weiwen: It was a nightmare.
Lucas: We had to go through a bit of training.
Klik.TV: Any memorable lines from the show?
Lucas: We were doing this scene, the battle of the bands, so there's this emcee that was hired and the way he delivered his lines was just amazing. We just cracked up laughing. We couldn't stop.
Weiwen: We had to control ourselves.
Lucas: The guy took 30 takes, so it was just a good laugh, we had a good time.
Klik.TV: Tell us something interesting about The Band. Is there violence, action, love, comedy?
Weiwen: Between Joakim and Lucas there is too much love.
Lucas: Too much love?
Weiwen: Too much love.
Joakim: He's just jealous lah Weiwen.
Lucas: Yeah that's why he takes it out on us.
Joakim: Deprived boy.

Klik.TV: People keep comparing you to the Jonas Brothers. That must drive you nuts?
Lucas: Who are the Jonas Brothers man?
Joakim: Oi! You don't know who the Jonas Brothers is?
Lucas: Don't know who they are.
Joakim: No lah, I feel for the Jonas Brothers. But we're trying to avoid that direction. We wanna be our own local thing, our own local flavor, and its, our show you know.
Lucas: It's a bit hard to run away cause because it's three guys so that's why you'll compare us to the Jonas Brothers.
Klik.TV: Are you guys prepared for hordes of screaming female fans?
Weiwen: I think Joakim's used to it.
Lucas: Yeah he's got two Facebook accounts.
Joakim: Not used to it lah, I mean, it happened before for me on Idol before, and for Weiwen its happening, Mr. Baybeats 09. And then for Lucas, he's a knight in shining armour in our SAF police uniform.
Klik.TV: What do you guys do to a screaming fan?
Joakim: Scream with them.
Weiwen: Buy them ice cream.
Lucas: I scream for ice cream
Joakim: Cover their mouth!
Klik.TV: Has any bizzare things happened since the TV series aired?
Lucas: It just aired recently so not much. A few double glances on the train and on the streets.
Weiwen: I cut my nails.
Joakim: What? Why is that bizzare?
Weiwen: I don't know. No idea.
Klik.TV: So do you guys get along well? Or do you guys pretend to get along well?
Joakim: Pretend! We're such good actors.
Klik.TV: So you guys are not best of friends?
Weiwen: Joakim and Lucas are abit more than friends but, I'm not, I'm ok with them.

Klik.TV: Which musician would win in a fight? Michael Jackson or Jason Mraz?
Joakim: Jack and Rai! (Jack and Rai wrote the original music for The Band)
Lucas: Jack and Rai, they will win hands down.
Weiwen: I think Rick Astley will win.
Joakim (singing): Never gonna give you up, never gonna take you down...
Lucas: You're so random man, today.
Weiwen: Rick Astley man!
Klik.TV: Fame, Money or Love?
Lucas: Definately love!
Weiwen: Money
Joakim: Money, money!
Klik.TV: What advice do you have for anyone looking to be in the entertainment business?
Weiwen: Don't be!
Lucas: Why? Extra competition for you is it?
Joakim: Ok can I just put it in a very nice way? It's a tough road. Its gonna be a tough journey. You have to really perservere and fight if you really want it.
Weiwen: And feel jaded along the way. It's not really a nice place but the money is good, the money is good, seriously the money is good.
Lucas: I guess, just go for it, go for what you love, your passion, if you love it, you're determined to do it, I mean, to make it.
Joakim: The most important thing is that you really have to want it.
