5 Awesome Sights from Google Street View Singapore!

The wait is over! Google Street View Singapore goes live today! The site allows users to view and navigate 360 degree street-level imagery of Singapore. Taken by Street View cars along all public roads earlier this year, the imagery includes iconic locations like Orchard Road, Marina Bay and Clarke Quay; cultural areas like Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam; and the heartland like Tampines, Jurong and Woodlands.

We gave Street View a test drive and found 5 awesome sights...

The Esplanade and surrounding buildings.

The Fullerton Hotel.

The Singapore Flyer.

The buildings at the business district.

The Causeway leading to Johor!!!

In addition to viewing the images on your PC, Street View can be accessed on your mobile phone, meaning you now have a virtual photo-based street guide of Singapore in your pocket. Go try it out! It's so much fun that you better be prepared to spend hours at the site.

Update: The images currently on Google Street View Singapore are NOT taken by the Google Trike. Watch out for the images from Google Trike sometime next year.
