Passionate outdoors couple needed for the 3rd best job in the world?
It might not be as glamorous as Tourism Queensland's Best Job in the World but those of you who are looking for a job at a faraway beautiful island should consider applying.
This ad appeared in the Executive Appointments section of Saturday's Straits Times (Singapore). Some folks who own a coastal property on Waiheke Island in New Zealand are looking for a passionate outdoors couple to be the caretaker of their property. Applicants need to have some experience maintaining formal gardens, vegetable gardens and fruit trees.
Why are they advertising this in Singapore, we aren't so sure. But one thing is certain, they won't find suitable candidates here. Look, how many people in Singapore are good with vegetable gardens and fruit trees? And if you are a gardener, will you be looking at the Executive Appointments section of the Straits Times classifieds for a job? Really strange ad.
This isn't the first time an island in New Zealand is advertising for caretakers. Back in April, New Zealand promoted the 2nd Best Job in the World, a 6 month contract in Aroha Island.
